Reliant Building Solutions is nearing completion on this steel mezzanine, which will serve as storage behind the stage of a performing arts center in a prestigious school in Atlanta. The photos show only half of it because the drywall partition bisects it. We fabricated the stairs off-site and brought them into the space by snaking them through a kitchen and then a library. Our crew had to cut through the existing slab on grade foundation to construct the footings for each of the five new columns that were necessary to hold the mezzanine platform. The deck surface consists of steel diamond plate. Each piece weighed over 360pounds and had to be lifted into place by hand. After the finishing touch of a handrail along the wall, we will be complete.
